Welcome to the iCare Autism and Learning Solutions Centre (iCALSoC) your source of comprehensive personal in – home Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Management Services.

Our In – home ABA Therapy is available across the six (6) regions of the North with specific Centre in Tamale, Bolgatanga and Wa. We know that Autism Spectrum Disorders affect not only the child but also the family as a whole. Our aim is to empower the lives of children and families and help with the acquisition of essential life skills through our Integrated and Research based therapeutic methods.

  1. To provide individuals who have behavioral needs the opportunity to learn the skills they need to lead healthy and productive lives. We do this by ensuring that our approach to service is Analytical, Goal – Based, Empowering and Supportive.
  2. To train and develop scientist – practitioners to ensure quality behavioral treatment and to contribute to the dissemination of Applied Behavior Analysis.

Our In – home ABA treatment program helps us to observe child behaviors in the family environment and design specific treatment models to address that particular behavior. In our treatment program, the long term goal is to generalize the child’s skills to the home, school, and community for the child to be fully participate in the family, school, and community activities.

iCare Autism and Learning Solutions Centre (iCALSoC) provides individualized behavior support using applied behavior analysis strategies. We support clients and their families, schools and community groups.

At iCare Autism and Learning Solutions Centre (iCALSoC), we provide fiver (5) main type of services, centering the need of children and young people.

iCALSoC can help with the following:

  1. Behavioral difficulties
  2. Communication
  3. Parent and child interaction
  4. Self – help and leisure skills
  5. School transition and school support.

We provide two main types of intervention:

  • Short-term intervention (5-6 sessions) within three (3) months.
  • Long term interventions (6 months)

The factors that influence your choice of interventions will depend on your child’s needs, time you can commit into the therapy session, your finance or all of the above listed.

SHORT TERM INTERVENTIONS

These intervention typically last for 6 weeks to 3 months teaching a child 1 – 3 skills.

We offer two types of short term interventions:

  • Parent & child interaction programme
  • Social stars (social skill group )

LONG TERM INTERVENTIONS

These are the more traditional ABA programs that enable a child to learn six (6) to ten skills at one time. The two types of therapy are:

FULL TIME THERASPY

30 hours per week, typically divided into 10 sessions, each session lasting for three hours.

Requires three to five tutors trained in delivering behavior analytic interventions to work directly with the child. On average, the consultant visits once every four weeks, to monitor progress, provide on- going training to tutors and parents, and set new targets. It can take place entirely at the child’s home, across home and school, or entirely at school.

Suitable for children who are not yet in nursery or school placement or in a place where the nursery or school is open to tutors working there with the child.

15 hours per week, typically divided into 5 sessions, each lasting 3 hours.

OUTREACH (SCHOOL,HOME AND CLINICS) SOCIAL SKILL GROUP PARENTS AND CHILD INTERACTION SUPPORT THIS IS ONLY AVAILABLE DURING HOLIDAYS

Requires 2 -3 tutors trained in delivering behavior analytic interventions to work directly with the child. On average, the consultant visits once every 6 weeks to monitor progress, provide on– going training to tutors and parents, and set new targets.

Typically takes place at home after school hours.

Suitable for children who are already in full time school placement, or children who are able to learn most skill without formal intervention.

We understand that each person and every family that we meet is unique. Our behavioral Therapists take the time to assess the current skill level of each child and create a management plan centered on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).

We have worked with families for many years to open doors to their loved ones.

SCHOOLS We work with school to provide Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment, behavior support services and educational consultations services for children with autism and other developmental disorders. Our approach towards a school – based program is all about positive reinforcement and empowerment of children. We believe that the school staff and our experts must work closely together to help children reach their fullest potential.

Our comprehensive school – based services are delivered by trained therapist and supervised Board Behavior Analysts (BBAs). Our training programs and workshop series are designed to help school personnel at all levels learn more about autism and successful management methods. All programs/ intervention packages are designed to suit the individual. Our interventions are supported by evidence – based practice and incorporate the five ways to wellbeing guidelines. Our consultants have experience working with families, nurseries, mainstream and school, colleges and community groups.

PARENT & CHILD SUPPORT

We believe the best learning opportunities for a child comes from the parents. The support we provide is tailored to both the child’s and the family’s needs. It takes place at your home or community, and it is on – going.

We offer two types of parent & child support:

  • PARENT & CHILD INTERVENTION PROGRAM
  • SOCIAL STARS SOCIAL GROUP

PARENT AND CHILD INTERVENTION PROGRAM

This is a 5 – session program aimed at equipping parents to teach their child 1 -3 new skills, or replacing inappropriate behaviors. The program teaches parents 5 simple steps called Rapid Prompting Method (RPM), a behavioral approach aimed at changing parental and child interactions through behavior and environmental modification techniques.
